Humane Education and Community Outreach
SEAACA has a long standing commitment to humane education and community outreach. Issues impacting the animals in our region can only be resolved with a collaboration and partnership including our agency, the cities we serve and the citizens in our communities.
In order to increase the understanding by our communities' of animal issues in our region, SEAACA's professional staff makes presentations at community forums, schools, parks, senior centers, community events, city halls civic organizations. Our goal is to reach a wide range of audiences to explain and reinforce:
- The elements of Responsible Pet Ownership
- How to determine what type of pet is best for your family
- The importance of proper veterinarian care for your pets
- The value of licensing, leashing and loving your pets

Offsite Adoption Events
You also may have seen SEAACA in your community at a special event with animals ready for adoption. The animals have already been spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, dewormed, received their first set of shots, and a flea treatment. They are looking for their new forever home. These opportunities also allow SEAACA to bring educational material to share with public.
